First wedding in the family

(This adorable exchange was right before the bride and groom were coming out for pictures)

You know you are getting older when the first grandchild in the family gets married. Seriously feeling the mileage on this one.

I am so grateful for our improved circumstances. Because the boys are in placement we have the flexibility to pick up and be with family.
It was a great trip. The drive up the 395 was gor-geous. Made the same mistake of forgetting to gas up in Bishop. Six bucks a gallon is LITERALLY highway robbery. We only gave the stinkers 3 gallons worth of our money. Stinkin' stinkers.
The wedding was beautiful albeit a little windy. DJ managed to wrangle four little ones while we were inside the temple.

I loved seeing all the little grandkids playing together.

They entertained themselves during the cleanup by playing "Church"..DJ was pretending to be bossy and Abby gave him some swagger!

Three generations at the end of a loooooooooooong day.

They don't get to see each other often and it is super cute when they hang out! My sister-in-law's brother was our host and a perfect one at that.
On the way home we stopped by Sacramento to catch up with an old friend and his family. BONUS!!
