Spence and Ty need to trade bedrooms.
There is a bathroom attached to Spencer's room since it is the master bedroom. And unfortunately he has indulged himself in a little too much water therapy.
That was a common practice at home with us. In fact there is a really funny story about it. Well....several. Well......too many to count.
But I will tell you one.
One night Guy and I were woken out of a dead sleep by the sound of our fire alarm. We leaped out of bed and began processing the situation. Do I smell smoke? NO. Is there a fire?? No..thank goodness. Downstairs we located the fire alarm, pressed the button and nothing happened.
That was when we heard/saw the water running down the walls.
Spence had stuffed a towel into the upstairs bathroom sink and turned on the faucet . He loved to see the pooling water.
Well. This water was pooling alright. Pouring over the edge, flooding the bathroom and filling up the hallway. The water had shorted out the alarm system so that it wouldn't shut off.
Thus began our tag team effort. I grabbed our carpet washer and proceeded to suck up the water in small, one-gallon increments. Guy was on the phone with the alarm company trying to figure out how to shut it down.
45 minutes later, we were both done. Spence was tucked back in bed and we collapsed into soggy heaps. That is when we noticed that it was 2 in the morning and my birthday had officially begun. Surprise!
