I'm a devout Mormon. My spiritual journey has been long, challenging and satisfying so far. My faith in God and Jesus Christ has been a source of great hope, strength and solace.
As with any kind of faith, you have to keep the spiritual fires stoked with inspiration. I'm a huge fan of the LDS Hymns. I've been playing them since I was 11. But I can only take so many versions sung in the old-timey way.
I need something that challenges me musically and still keeps the spirit-summoning poetry of the hymns and I found it!
Nienie suggested this album and I bought it off of itunes yesterday.
JACKPOT!!
I can't get enough of the alternative arrangements and beautiful, peaceful renditions of these hymns.
