There is a musical theatre group in San Bdo. Been around for 49 years. On a last minute whim, our DJ decided to try out for the summer production of "Cinderella"..(NOT the Rogers and Hammerstein version).
Because we missed the first try-outs, DJ's audition was too late to compete for a speaking part. It was hilarious getting him ready to audition. He sang 16 bars of ..."I'm Your Dentist" from "Little Shop of Horrors". (Serious shout out to the three dentists in our family)!
No matter, he is just happy to be included and to have another round of experience. He is officially part of the "Village Ensemble" which means lots of singing and possible parts helping out in the "Urchin Ensemble" and " Royal Ensemble". There are a lot of Ensembles!

Last night was the first rehearsal. It is going to be a great summer of rehearsals out under the stars and I will be posting more photo updates of their progress.
This is a wide shot of the ampitheatre where all the rehearsals will be. They get 16000 people over two weeks of shows. It is going to be a great experience. Break a leg DJ!!

Good luck DJ! We're proud of you for going and trying out. Sounds like it'll be so much fun. Looking forward to updates about the show!! (And maybe a short video clip?! - Is that legal?!) :)
Little DJ is a man now! Where did the time go. Looks like we have lots of acting talent in the family: DJ, Deborah, Stacey's boys, Christian, to name a few.
