This time last year we were gallivanting, (love that word), about the fjords of Norway. We visited my husband's old family homestead in Lillehammer. How amazing to imagine my son's great, great grandfather leaving his home that looked out over the whole valley and coming to America.
I went running through Vegelund Park in Oslo and had the freshest fish and chips on the wharf in Bergen. We scooted up to the Lofoten Islands and up the Flom fanicula railway.
We ate cod tongues and monk fish.
It was a beautiful trip to a beautiful country. And even though it was such a pain to get there and a little bit cumbersome to drive in, I am so glad we went.
